“Everyone Rejects Inconvenient Facts”

Did anyone else catch this story on tonight’s On the Media on OPB? I found it fascinating and I’m certain there are all sorts of connections to be drawn between Klein’s studies and our exploration of actionable data…. At least 1) within the studies with regard to how individuals reject or neglect data in accordance with supporting our beliefs (confirmation bias) and 2) also with use of the study findings — that the first study’s use might represent poor or mis-use of data — both via flawed design and analysis, for starters; and in considering how the second study, and its data, is used or useful….  But I can go no deeper tonight as a wonderful yoga class has melted my shoulders and brain.
