Hans Rosling on babies and religion

Here is a fascinating TED Talk by Hans Rosling of Gapminder.com about babies, religion and population growth. You’ve heard of “peak oil”? Well, according to Hans we’ve reached peak baby! Watch his visualization of how religions affect the birth rate (clue: they don’t) and what really matters in population growth. Also, at the end he uses old fashioned boxes to demonstrate an important concept about demographic growth. His evidence has tremendous implications for how we plan for the future of the planet.
