“Paying for college” — data visualization at NPR

A data visualization that caught my eye today at NPR’s Planet Money: “Paying for College” Financial Aid in America, in 2 Graphics”. I’m not sure whether this is ‘actionable’, persay, but I sure find it more interesting to look at these visuals than to see tables full of the big numbers they represent. Questions this raises for me, for which I don’t really have answers…. What does this mean for higher education? For people who want to go back to school, or are in school? Given all the press around rising tuition costs lately, is this information helpful? What does it mean that tuition AND aid are rising?
